Purpose of the role :

This Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer role defines vehicle and ECU-level security specs (IDS, CAN, firewalls) while managing PKI, KMS, and cryptographic keys in AWS. You will embed secure DevOps pipelines (SAST/DAST/SBOM), collaborate with suppliers on implementation, and drive rapid vulnerability mitigation and incident closure.

Job Responsibility :

  • Define cybersecurity specifications at vehicle level like IDS, CAN Security, Ethernet Security, Firewall etc.
  • Review of cybersecurity specifications and controls at ECU level.
  • Perform key generation, software signing, and key management.
  • Perform PKI and KMS related activities in AWS environment.
  • Ensure security in SDLC and DevOps.
  • Define security controls for the identified vulnerabilites.
  • Work with suppliers for cybersecurity requirement implementation and assessment.
  • Perform binary scanning, SAST, DAST, SCA, and SBOM analysis.
  • Establish tool-chain for automated source code analysis and mitigation.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessment and work towards mitigation.
  • Work with cross functional teams for cybersecurity implementation.
  • Evaluate and support the incident closure within the quickest possible time duration.

Desired candidate profile :

  • BE/B.Tech./ME/M.Tech. - Electronics/Electrical/Automobile/ComputerScience/Cybersecurity
  • 4+ year of experience in automotive cybersecurity
  • Experienced with automotive cybersecurity.
  • Understanding of software defined vehicles.
  • Experienced in CSMS and SUMS (R155/R156) for cybersecurity implementation.
  • ISO21434 certification.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive microcontrollers (Infineon AURIX, NXP S32, Renesas RH850, etc.)
  • Hands on experience in requirement sign-off with Tier1's.
  • Hands on experience in implementation of vehicle level cybersecurity controls.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and automotive ECU architecture.
  • Expertise in IDS, CAN Security, Ethernet Security, HSM.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of vehicle communication protocol is good to have.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
