Job Description
The DevOps Expert is responsible for maintaining and optimizing business-critical applications and platforms. The role focuses on deployments, integrations, automation, incident resolution, and performance improvement while ensuring reliable and secure service delivery. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to drive continuous improvements and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating new solutions and continuously optimize existing applications, services, and workflows.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for the back-end environment, with a strong focus on Linux-based systems.
- Researching and evaluating emerging technologies and contribute to their adoption within the team.
- Applying engineering standards, principles, guidelines, and frameworks with a focus on performance, security, reusability, scalability, sustainability, and DevSecOps practices.
- Co-owning the operation, monitoring, and reliability of production systems and ensure adherence to agreed service levels.
- Ensuring the stability, continuity, and performance of the platforms and services under your responsibility.
- Designing and implementing secure, reliable, and automated solutions end-to-end, embracing DevOps best practices.
- Creating proofs of concept to validate new technologies, approaches, and solutions.
- Optimizing the integration between applications and infrastructure and identify infrastructure requirements when needed.
- Participating in incident response activities and on-call rotations when required.
- Proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement while maintaining alignment with broader business and technology objectives.
- Reviewing and validating technical documentation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Demonstrating customer-focused thinking, providing pragmatic solutions, and applying strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Taking ownership of your work, collaborating effectively with colleagues, and contributing positively to the team environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of Open Systems, Mainframe architectures, and package integration.
- Hands-on experience with RiskShield is a nice-to-have.
- Ability to quickly understand and adapt to complex technical environments, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and interpret complex information.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Capable of working autonomously while maintaining a proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Strong team player with a collaborative and flexible approach.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results within scope and agreed timelines.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Eagerness to learn, improve, and contribute to continuous team success.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is required.
