As DevSecOps Engineer (Salesforce), you’ll support a Salesforce-centered modernization and digital transformation program. This role will enable secure, scalable, and high-performing application delivery for AI-driven development teams focused on rapidly delivering mission-critical capabilities through Salesforce and cloud-native technologies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing modern DevSecOps practices, secure CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, infrastructure automation, and platform security controls that enable rapid software delivery while maintaining compliance, resiliency, and operational excellence. This individual will play a critical role in accelerating delivery velocity through automation, AI-assisted operations, and modern engineering practices.

What you’ll do:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines supporting Salesforce application development, configuration, integration, and deployment.
- Establish and optimize DevSecOps processes that enable rapid, reliable, and secure delivery across Salesforce environments.
- Implement automated testing, code quality validation, security scanning, release automation, and deployment orchestration throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support Salesforce DevOps tooling and deployment frameworks, including Git-based source control, version management, package deployment, branching strategies, and environment promotion processes.
- Integrate security controls, compliance requirements, and automated vulnerability management into development and deployment workflows.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automated provisioning processes across development, test, and production environments.
- Support Salesforce platform security, identity and access management (IAM), role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms, and Zero Trust initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce developers, architects, product managers, and Scrum Masters to improve development velocity, deployment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor platform health, deployment performance, system availability, and security posture while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, compliance documentation, audit readiness efforts, and continuous monitoring requirements.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled DevSecOps capabilities that improve developer productivity, automate operational tasks, enhance security monitoring, and accelerate software delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability engineering, operational excellence, and modernization best practices.
- Establish and maintain DevSecOps standards, deployment governance, and release management processes across the program.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Active Secret clearance
- Must be local to the DMV area with the ability to support onsite requirements in Washington, DC.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (Required) and an active DevOps, cloud, or cybersecurity certification (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS DevOps Engineer, Security+, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent).
- 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or related technical roles.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce application development, deployment, platform operations, and enterprise Salesforce delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, DevOps Center, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud-based delivery in Azure, AWS, or similar environments, with strong skills in automation, scripting, infrastructure as code, and deployment orchestration.
- Experience integrating automated security testing, vulnerability management, and compliance into CI/CD pipelines; strong understanding of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices; and experience supporting Agile teams and secure software delivery in enterprise or federal environments.
SALARY RANGE: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
