AI Security Architect (f/m/x)

We’re looking for a Security Architect – AI  to join us in Budapest, Hungary. 

Your Role  

As Security Architect (f/m/x) within the ZEISS Digital Technology Accelerator, you will focus on securing high-priority emerging digital technologies, in particular AI platforms and AI-driven use cases, to ensure their safe implementation and scalable operation across the ZEISS Group. 

The role of Security Architect (f/m/x) will involve: 

• Designing and implementing secure cloud and software architectures for AI platforms and AI-driven applications across modern cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and GCP. 

• Developing security concepts, standards and design patterns for AI platforms, while embedding secu-rity-by-design into emerging digital technologies. 

• Addressing AI-specific security risks, including data poisoning, model theft, adversarial attacks, mod-el integrity, data privacy and bias mitigation. 

• Integrating regulatory and compliance requirements such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS and the EU AI Act into AI security strategies and architectures. 

• Conducting security reviews, threat-model-based risk assessments and audit support, while advising teams on security alerts, incidents, RBAC and PIM. 

• Acting as a key interface between central security, regulatory functions and the Digital Technology Accelerator, while leading international cross-functional security initiatives from a functional per-spective.  

Your Experience: 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical field. 

• At least 7+ years of professional experience in areas such as security architecture/engineering, AI/ML engineering, or similar technical roles.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure architectures for cloud-based technology environments.  

• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts across major platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, including multi-cloud and cloud-native security principles. 

• Solid knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, data security standards, modern authentication methods and secure infrastructure practices. 

• Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS and/or the EU AI Act. 

• Ability to work with Python, code repositories, containerization and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and PowerShell. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical, security, regulatory and business stakeholders in an international environment. 

• Fluent in English. 

It would be desirable if you had:   

• Experience with AI platforms and AI-driven use cases is considered an advantage. 

• Experience in data modeling, algorithm development or data science is considered an advantage. 

• AI security-related certifications or specialist training in AI-specific cybersecurity topics. 

• Advanced cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate. 

• Experience leading international, cross-functional security initiatives or providing functional guidance to security-focused colleagues.
