Here's everything that shipped on SecRoles in June.
Resume ATS scoring
You can now upload your resume and get an instant ATS compatibility score. It checks formatting, contact info, keyword coverage, and impact signals, then splits recommendations into "Fix before applying" and "Nice to have."
Mark as applied
Click Apply on any job and it's automatically tracked. You can also mark jobs from the card itself. Your applied jobs stay synced across devices so you don't need a spreadsheet.
Job quality and experience
I added AI-powered filtering to catch non-cybersecurity roles that slip through keyword matching. Physical security guards, fire alarm technicians, CCTV installers, and executive protection roles no longer pollute your feed. I also removed job aggregators and staffing agencies that were posting duplicates. Every job now shows its role category (Cloud Security, AppSec, GRC, Pentesting, etc.) so you can scan listings faster.
The dashboard got a visual refresh with warmer score messages, a fuller job feed, and social sharing icons with brand colors on referral cards. A progress bar at the top shows when pages are loading, and job results dim while filters update.
Monthly hiring data reports
I published the first data-driven report on cloud security hiring. 234 job postings from May, broken down by platform, skills, tools, compensation, experience level, and geography.
