About the Role:
Job Title: Subject Matter Expert - Cloud Security
Experience: 10 - 15 years
This role will serve as the strategic and technical subject matter expert driving cybersecurity solutions across connected vehicle programs. This role will be responsible for defining, proposing, and articulating end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to OEMs and partners, supporting business acquisition efforts, and guiding internal teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable products.
The role demands a blend of deep technical knowledge, solution architecture expertise, and customer-facing leadership to represent the company as a trusted cybersecurity partner in the automotive ecosystem.
What you’ll do:
- Security Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud-native platforms tailored for connected vehicle systems and distributed architectures.
- Zero Trust & IAM Strategy: Architect and manage robust Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust frameworks, and API security protocols to protect the cloud perimeter.
- DevSecOps Integration: Implement and oversee hands-on security within the CI/CD pipeline using modern DevSecOps tooling.
- Threat & Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive threat modeling and Cybersecurity Transition and Risk Assessment (TARA) to identify and mitigate platform vulnerabilities.
- OEM & Compliance Alignment: Interface directly with OEMs or Tier-1 providers to align cloud and backend cybersecurity requirements with international standards.
- Security Monitoring: Oversee security monitoring operations, including SIEM/SOC integration, to ensure rapid detection and response to potential threats.
What you should know:
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
- Professional Expertise: 10–15 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security architecture, or distributed systems.
- Cloud Platform Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), specifically regarding infrastructure security.
- Technical Deep-Dive: Expert-level understanding of encryption, key management, secrets management, and container/Kubernetes security.
- Regulatory & Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive-specific standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156, ISO 24089) and general frameworks (NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001).
- Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex cloud security concepts into strategic requirements for both technical squads and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Certifications: Highly desirable certifications include CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or Automotive Cybersecurity Professional (ACSP).
- Domain Background: Proven track record of working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers on large-scale backend security projects.
