Senior Analyst, Security
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Security based in the United States.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening and protecting client IT environments by monitoring security systems, identifying threats, and driving timely remediation actions. You will work across multiple client infrastructures, ensuring security alerts are properly investigated, prioritized, and resolved before they escalate into major incidents. The position blends hands-on technical security operations with forensic analysis, vulnerability management, and incident coordination. You will help maintain a strong security posture through continuous monitoring, reporting, and improvement of security tools and processes. Working in a fast-paced managed services environment, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Security-as-a-Service operations. This is a highly impactful role for someone passionate about proactive defense, root-cause analysis, and operational excellence in cybersecurity.
Accountabilities
- Monitor security alerts, metrics, and system activity across client environments, identifying potential threats and initiating appropriate response actions to maintain a strong security posture.
- Conduct endpoint security investigations and forensic analysis to determine root cause, scope, and impact of security incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate and manage response efforts for complex security incidents, including containment, remediation, and post-incident review activities.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, analyze findings, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to reduce risk exposure and strengthen defenses.
- Support deployment of patches, updates, and security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Deliver security awareness guidance and coaching to improve user understanding of security best practices across client organizations.
- Produce regular reports on security posture, tool health, incident trends, and remediation progress for stakeholders.
Requirements
This role requires a strong foundation in information security operations combined with excellent analytical and communication skills. Candidates should have a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The ideal profile combines technical depth with a service-oriented approach to client support.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or IT operations.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, systems integration, IT support, or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools, threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of security operations, forensic investigation techniques, and remediation best practices.
- Security+ certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
- Proven ability to document technical findings clearly and accurately for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and drive problem resolution.
