The Position

Cybersecurity Expert - Security Expert - RDT Monitoring & Incident Response

Introduction The Security and Cybersecurity Expert manages a team of analysts, defines team objectives and processes, and is responsible for critical security programs and strategic initiatives. Within Roche Digital Technology (RDT) Monitoring & Incident Response, you will leverage advanced infrastructure data and systems thinking to protect our digital ecosystem, ensuring resilience against complex cyber threats.

The Opportunity:

  • Provide Expert Leadership: Provide expert-level leadership and strategic guidance for high-impact, complex cybersecurity projects across multiple domains.

  • Manage Analytical Teams: Manage a dedicated team of security analysts, defining clear team objectives, workflows, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Architect Resilient Solutions: Lead the end-to-end design, definition, and root cause analysis of complex, strategic business and security problems spanning organizational boundaries.

  • Govern Security Standards: Develop, embed, and implement security best practices and Quality assurance across strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with Technical Architecture Frameworks.

  • Drive Strategic Alignment: Recommend and guide the implementation of optimal strategies, solution options, advanced value analyses, and risk assessments to align with global goals.

  • Influence Enterprise Strategy: Shape strategy as a trusted advisor and master negotiator to senior leadership, driving consensus on the strategic security vision through persuasive communication.

  • Foster Teamwork and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with global cross-functional networks, cultivating collaboration and serving as a role model in teamwork between Informatics and the business.

  • Nurture Community Expertise: Mentor senior practitioners, help colleagues develop technical expertise, and show visible leadership within the internal security Communities of Practice (CoPs).

Who you are:

  • Educated Professional: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Experienced Security Leader: You bring 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, with a proven track record of managing analyst teams and leading complex infrastructure security initiatives.

  • Incident Response Expert: You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of monitoring and incident response methodologies, technical domain architectures, and organizational security strategy.

  • Systems & Advisory Thinker: You apply advanced systems thinking and advisory concepts to provide holistic, enterprise-wide consulting advice across highly interconnected and ambiguous environments.

  • Strategic Problem Solver: You possess expert-level analytical and logical reasoning skills to proactively identify risks, manage evolving requirements, and deliver innovative security solutions.

  • Master Stakeholder Negotiator: You excel at analyzing complex global stakeholder networks, managing senior personnel expectations, and translating intricate technical risks into clear, actionable insights.

  • Agile Framework Practitioner: You are highly proficient in navigating dynamic environments, managing project resource dependencies under tight timelines, and driving continuous improvement in an always-available environment.
