Security Engineer - Network Security

### About the Role This role involves hands-on deployment, management, and operational support for network security solutions across client environments. You will focus on firewall administration, network security posture enhancement, and implementing microsegmentation strategies to fortify critical infrastructure. ### Key Responsibilities * Deploy, configure, and manage next-generation firewalls, including Palo Alto NGFW and Checkpoint Firewall, ensuring optimal performance and security enforcement. * Implement and maintain microsegmentation policies using platforms like Akamai Gaudicore to restrict lateral movement and enhance network security. * Perform day-to-day operational tasks for network security infrastructure, including rule base management, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and incident response. * Utilize network security policy management platforms such as Tufin for auditing, compliance, and streamlining firewall change management processes. * Optimize firewall rule sets and ensure compliance with security policies using tools like AlgoSec, providing clear visibility and automation for network access changes. * Collaborate with clients to understand their network security requirements, design appropriate solutions, and provide ongoing technical support and guidance. * Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats, analyze vulnerabilities, and recommend proactive security measures. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of network security posture through regular assessments, configuration reviews, and adherence to security best practices. ### Requirements * 1-3 years of practical experience in network security engineering or operations. * B.Tech or M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Demonstrated experience with firewall deployment, configuration, and management. * Understanding and practical experience with network security posture management. * Experience in designing and implementing microsegmentation solutions. * Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and common network security concepts. * Ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues effectively. ### Nice-to-Have * Hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW for operation and management. * Familiarity with Checkpoint Firewall administration. * Experience operating and managing Akamai Gaudicore for microsegmentation. * Practical experience with Tufin for network security policy orchestration and auditing. * Knowledge of AlgoSec for security policy management and automation. ### Benefits * Health insurance for the employee and dependents. * Professional security-certification reimbursement (e.g., Palo Alto Networks NetSec-Pro, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)), Guardicore Certified Segmentation Administrator. * Annual learning and skill-development allowance. * Sponsored conference / training attendance. * Flexible work arrangements. ### Skills Firewall deployment, Network security posture management, Microsegmentation, Palo Alto NGFW, Checkpoint Firewall, Akamai Gaudicore, Tufin, AlgoSec ### Qualification B.Tech or M.Tech
