Security & Audit Solution Architect

This role is a highly technical, customer-facing security position focused on defending and articulating complex cloud security and compliance controls in enterprise audit environments. You will act as a trusted security subject matter expert, supporting global audit engagements and engaging directly with customers, auditors, and security stakeholders. The position requires deep hands-on understanding of cloud security architecture, SaaS environments, and enterprise-grade security controls. You will translate technical security implementations into clear, defensible audit narratives backed by evidence. Working closely with engineering, architecture, and security teams, you will help ensure transparency and credibility in high-stakes security discussions. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role where technical depth, communication strength, and composure under pressure are essential.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for security audit engagements, ensuring that cloud security controls are accurately represented, defended, and validated through strong technical evidence. You will engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to support audits, penetration testing discussions, and security assessments.

• Act as the primary technical SME for customer audits and security assurance engagements across cloud environments
• Lead and support advanced security discussions with customers, auditors, partners, and internal stakeholders
• Interpret, validate, and present technical security evidence such as logs, configurations, architecture diagrams, and compliance artifacts
• Defend cloud security, privacy, and compliance controls across frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and related standards
• Serve as the escalation point for penetration testing findings and security assessment discussions
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure accurate representation of security controls and implementations
• Support continuous improvement of security documentation, audit readiness, and evidence management practices
• Provide expert input on cloud security risks, AI security considerations, and emerging threat landscapes

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong cloud security expertise combined with hands-on experience in audit, security engineering, or SaaS environments. You should be confident in interpreting complex technical systems and communicating them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud security and SaaS shared responsibility models
• Experience with IAM, encryption, key management, logging, monitoring, and network security in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience supporting audit operations and providing technical security evidence
• Ability to analyze and explain penetration testing findings and remediation approaches
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and DevSecOps principles
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly
• Experience with security frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or similar compliance standards
• Understanding of AI security trends and cloud threat landscapes is a plus
• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP are advantageous
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure
