Intern, Security Engineering (Data Protection)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating enterprise systems and platforms related to Data Protection, Microsoft Purview, and AI solutions
• Support configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of integrations between cloud platforms, security tools, and business applications
• Assist with API integrations, data flows, and automation scripts where required
• Monitor and validate system integration performance and data accuracy
• Support initiatives related to data classification, data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and information governance
• Assist in reviewing and documenting data protection workflows and compliance processes
• Participate in testing and validation of Microsoft Purview features and configurations
• Help maintain proper documentation for governance and security controls
• Support AI-related proof of concepts (POCs), automation use cases, and workflow enhancements
• Assist in researching emerging AI tools and technologies relevant to enterprise operations and cybersecurity
• Work with teams to improve operational efficiency through automation and AI-driven solutions
• Support preparation of dashboards, reports, and data analysis where applicable
• Prepare technical documentation, process flows, and user guides
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Operations
• Participate in project discussions, testing activities, and status updates
• Ensure proper tracking of tasks, issues, and implementation progress

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related fields
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies, system integration, or cybersecurity concepts
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g. PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus
• Keen interest in Data Protection, AI, and enterprise technologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
