This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental compliance across construction and project environments. You will play a critical role in shaping a safe and sustainable workplace by implementing robust safety systems, monitoring high-risk activities, and ensuring adherence to both internal standards and regulatory requirements. The position involves close collaboration with project and operations teams to proactively identify risks and implement corrective measures. You will also contribute to building a strong safety culture by promoting awareness, sharing best practices, and mentoring site teams. This is a hands-on role that combines field inspections, stakeholder engagement, and strategic safety oversight. It offers the opportunity to directly influence project outcomes while ensuring the wellbeing of all personnel involved in operations. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, requiring strong leadership and attention to detail.

Accountabilities:

    Lead the implementation of health, safety, security, and environmental standards across project sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal safety frameworks while minimizing operational risk.

    • Conduct safety review meetings with project and design teams during early project stages to embed safety-by-design principles.
    • Ensure all high-risk activities are supported by approved safety work method statements (SWMS).
    • Perform regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
    • Organize and lead weekly safety meetings to reinforce compliance and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate closely with project managers and operations teams to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Promote safety culture through training sessions, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across teams.
    • Ensure adherence to local safety regulations and internal HSE standards across all project activities.
    • Requirements:

      Strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within construction or project-based environments, with proven ability to implement safety systems and drive compliance.

      • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction safety or HSE-related roles.
      • Valid safety certifications or professional HSE licenses required.
      • Strong knowledge of safety systems, risk assessment methodologies, and construction safety best practices.
      • Proven experience delivering safety training and leading awareness programs.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
      • Strong observational and analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying risks.
      • Ability to build strong relationships and influence teams toward safe working practices.
      • Experience working in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
