This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Researcher based in Brazil.

This role is centered on uncovering, analyzing, and disrupting sophisticated external cyber threats across open, deep, and dark web environments. You will investigate phishing campaigns, credential leaks, impersonation schemes, and emerging attack techniques targeting organizations and individuals at a global scale. Acting as a key intelligence contributor, you will transform raw threat data into actionable insights, helping shape defensive strategies and security responses. The position requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to operate in fast-moving, adversarial digital ecosystems. You will also contribute to building automated workflows and intelligence processes that improve detection and response efficiency. This is a highly investigative and impact-driven role within a collaborative, security-focused environment where your work directly strengthens cyber resilience.

Accountabilities:

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Researcher is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting on external cyber threats while supporting the development of actionable intelligence and automation capabilities.

  • Investigate phishing campaigns, credential leaks, and adversary activity across open, deep, and dark web sources.
  • Conduct active threat hunting, including engagement within underground forums and threat actor communities when required.
  • Analyze intelligence data to identify TTPs, IoCs, and develop detailed threat actor profiles.
  • Produce high-quality intelligence reports, threat bulletins, and executive-ready briefings.
  • Monitor emerging threats, attack techniques, and evolving adversary tooling relevant to client environments.
  • Identify repetitive analytical tasks and contribute to automation and workflow optimization initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement of intelligence collection, enrichment, and reporting processes.

Requirements:

This role requires strong expertise in cyber threat intelligence, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to operate in complex and sensitive online environments.

  • Native or fluent Portuguese and advanced English proficiency.
  • Proven experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), including analysis of malware, phishing, social engineering, and APTs.
  • Strong ability to produce clear, structured, and evidence-based intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience operating safely within dark web environments and underground forums.
  • Strong analytical thinking, proactive mindset, and ability to adapt to rapidly changing investigation scopes.
  • Familiarity with OSINT tools such as Maltego or equivalent platforms (bonus).
  • Knowledge of automation, scripting, or workflow optimization for intelligence tasks (bonus).
  • Understanding of offensive security techniques or ethical hacking (bonus).
  • Relevant certifications (CTIA, CISSP, CISM) or academic background in Cybersecurity, IT, or Computer Science (bonus).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, investigative environment.
