Job Summary
This role sits within Security Architecture and Product Security and focuses on the secure adoption and use of modern application technologies, including Artificial Intelligence capabilities, across products and services.
The AI Security Architect partners with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to ensure solutions are implemented safely, align to defined security patterns, and meet security standards, with a focus on risk identification, secure design guidance, and practical control implementation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Architecture design and development – partner with Enterprise Architecture, Product and Development teams to assess security controls within products and services.
Provide security best-practice guidance for modern application use cases, including AI/ML
Review proposed AI solutions and ensure alignment to approved security patterns
Identify and help mitigate AI-specific risks, including data leakage and model misuse.
Partner with Penetration Testing team to design and execute effective threat modeling.
Help maintain security patterns and guardrails and support adoption by engineering teams.
Support security assessments of external AI vendors and embedded capabilities in platforms.
Provide input to broader security standards and patterns related to AI use cases.
Required Experience & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Working knowledge of modern application architectures, including exposure to AI/ML concepts
Good understanding of application, cloud, and data security principles, including identity, access management, and secure API design
Good knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, GDPR, SWIFT)
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Cyber certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, CASP+, CEH) or equivalent
